Alessia is a medical anthropologist, she has always been interested in alternative holistic ways to approach the wellbeing of body and mind. Working with indigenous people of South America for many years, she realized how much body, mind, nature and spirituality are connected and support one another.

In 2005 she then began her journey into Yoga as a way to experience that connection on herself. She started to practice Asthanga yoga with Lino Miele, Mark Darby, John Scott, Harmony Slater. In 2018 she got a Yoga Alliance 200 hrs certification. In 2020 she was introduced to Iyengar Yoga which she keeps studying along with Ashtanga.

Alessia has studied Pranayama with Harmony Slater from the Kaivalyadhama Institute in India.

She is also a Singing Bowls Therapist, she got her certification from Himalayan Singing Bowls Center in Nepal.

In her classes, she combines the Vinyasa system and breath attention of Ashtanga Yoga with understanding of alignment and the use of props from Iyengar method. Pranayama techniques are part of her classes. Classes are suitable for all levels.
