Emma Notten
Language: English, Japanese
Originally from Amsterdam, Emma discovered yoga in her early twenties at a time when a sudden growth spurt had left her feeling stiff and disconnected from her body. What began as a challenge soon became an anchor—an everyday practice that helped her find ease, discipline, and a deeper sense of self.
Her life has since taken her through South Africa, Panama, and Boston before settling in Tokyo with her family. Across each move, yoga remained a familiar space of grounding and renewal, offering continuity amid constant change.
After becoming a mother, Emma completed her 200-hour Teacher Training and is currently pursuing her 300-hour certification online. Her teaching ranges from hot and invigorating practices to cozy, slower-paced classes, always guided by mindful movement and breath.
Emma invites students of all levels to explore strength, softness, and presence—whether seeking a powerful flow, a moment of calm, or simply a space to return to themselves.
